— OVERVIEW

Program Description

Technical and skills training for coconut farmers, certification programs, and Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) scholarships under Coconut Farmers Scholarship Program (CFSP).

— COMPONENTS

Interventions / Package of Assistance

Agricultural Training Institute (ATI)

Provides subsidy for hospital bills and out-of-pocket expenses through three sub-components:
● Confinement Bill Coverage – Up to ₱40,000 not covered under PhilHealth NBB, via Guarantee Letter. Accessible once every 3 months.
● Post-Confinement Needs Support – Up to ₱5,000 for post-discharge medicines and diagnostics not covered by PhilHealth Yakap.
● Outpatient Care Support – Up to ₱5,000 for outpatient medicines and lab/diagnostic services. Accessible once every 3 months.

● Certification of Coconut-Based Learning Sites for Agriculture (LSAs)
● School-on-the-Air (SOA)
● Strategic Communications
● Internship Program for Children of Coconut Farmers

Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA)

● Free medical consultations, health assessments, laboratory and diagnostic tests, and medicines.
● Targets Geographically Isolated and Disadvantaged Areas (GIDA).
● Uses mobile clinics and/or portable digital clinics.
● Includes Health and Wellness Campaigns to promote health literacy and awareness of CFIDP benefits.

● Identification of Priority and Emerging Skills
● Development of Competency Standards, Training Regulations and CompetencyAssessment Tools
● Scholarship Program under Coconut Farmers Scholarship Program (CFSP)
● Expand delivery of TVET with CFSP thru existing TVIs and Farm Schools and new/ existing Coconut-Based LSAs to be registered as Farm Schools
● Conduct of the Training, Assessment and Issuance of Certificate
● Provision of post-training assistance

Who Can Avail?

Principal Members

All CFIDP-eligible coconut farmers registered in the NCFRS.

— DOCUMENTARY REQUIREMENTS

What To Prepare

Coconut farmers whose farm is not more than five (5) hectares as defined in Section 3 of RA 11524

NCFRS- registered coconut farmers, coconut farm workers, and their relatives up to the 3rd degree of consanguinity and affinity.
