Research

● Generates scientific and market information to support marketing propositions
● Industry and supply/value chain analysis for strategic positioning and investment decisions
● Nutraceutical studies and product test marketing
● Market intelligence for international markets and investments
● Target: Increased research output for existing or emerging products, technologies, markets, and innovations by 10% over 5 years

Marketing Assistance

● Business matchmaking to connect farmers/organizations with potential buyers
● Digital transformation and e-commerce onboarding
● Branding and marketing strategies; product packaging, labeling, and barcoding
● Financial/technical assistance for FDA certifications, product nutrient analysis, Philippine brand/geographic indicators
● Inbound and outbound trade and investment missions
● Market linkages with local buyers and export markets
● Target: Enhanced competitiveness of 10% of classified coconut products in local and global markets by 2027–2028

Marketing Promotion

● Participation in local and international trade fairs and investment roadshows
● Export Market Promotion: Restore global leadership of Philippine coconut products
● Domestic Market Promotion: Expand domestic market of coconut products by 0.04% in 2026–2028
● Multimedia campaigns promoting nutritional and environmental benefits of coconut products

Who Can Avail?

Priority Beneficiaries

Individual coconut farmers (including farm workers) registered in the NCFRS

PCA-Accredited Farmers’ Organizations and Cooperatives

Particularly beneficiaries of the SFP and Community-Based Farm Development programs

Community/coconut-based enterprises as defined in Chapter 3 of the CFIDP

For Trade Fair / Promotion Activity Participation

Undergo vetting process with PCA at the regional and national level

Criteria defined in the Operations Manual developed by PCA and DTI-BSMED

For Trade Fair / Promotion Activity Participation

Must be an NCFRS-registered farmer, PCA-accredited organization/cooperative, or a recognized CFIDP partner

Project proposals evaluated by DTI-BSMED and partner Key Implementing Units (KIUs), subject to review and endorsement of the technical working group (TWG)
